We Feed the World is a global photography initiative capturing the triumphs and tribulations of the smallholder farmers, fishers, hunters and gatherers who feed 70% of the global population.
Led by The Gaia Foundation, the initiative seeks to support the global food sovereignty movement to raise the voices of the farmers whose work demonstrates the vital importance of agroecology and food sovereignty for building a climate change resilient food system.
This free exhibition features visual stories from 50 farming communities across 6 continents. These communities have collaborated with more than 40 award winning photographers, including Rankin, Martin Parr and Graciela Iturbide, to tell the world about their work. We Feed the World aims to challenge the myth that we need industrial agriculture and quick-fix technologies to feed an ever-increasing population.
From climate change and fertile soils to social justice and female empowerment, come and find out how small-scale farmers hold the answer to many of the world’s most pressing issues.
